Who we are
Divr is a local courier service operating in Utah Valley, Utah, run by Isaac Price. We pick up personal items from one address and deliver them to another. You can reach us any time at hello@getdivr.com.
By requesting a delivery through Divr, you agree to these terms.
What we deliver, and where
We currently serve Lehi, Highland, American Fork, Vineyard, Orem, and Provo. Both the pickup and dropoff address need to be in our service area. The cities we cover are listed on our home page and can change over time.
Deliveries go out as soon as a driver picks them up. We don't offer scheduled or future-dated deliveries, and we can't promise a specific arrival time.
Things we can't carry
Please don't ask us to move any of the following. We'll decline the job:
- Anything illegal to possess or transport
- Firearms, ammunition, weapons, explosives, or fireworks
- Hazardous materials — flammable liquids, compressed gas, chemicals
- Prescription medication, alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, or vape products
- Live animals or people
- Cash, cheques, gift cards, or anything used like currency
- Items that don't safely fit in a passenger vehicle
If a driver arrives and finds the item falls into one of these categories, or is substantially different from what was described, they may refuse it. In that case we refund what you paid, minus nothing — but we can't repeat the trip for free.
Pricing and payment
Every delivery is a base fare plus a per-mile rate that depends on the size you select, calculated from the real driving distance between your two addresses. If you ask for help gathering the item, that adds a flat fee based on size. You always see the exact total before you pay — nothing is added afterward.
Payment is taken up front, when you request the delivery, through Stripe. Divr never sees or stores your card number.
You're responsible for choosing the right size. If the item turns out to be significantly larger or heavier than the size you picked, the driver may decline it and you'll need to request it again at the correct size.
Cancellations and refunds
Before a driver accepts your delivery you can cancel it yourself from your deliveries page, and we refund the full amount automatically. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 days, depending on your bank.
After a driver has accepted, please contact us. By that point a driver has committed their time and may already be on the way, so refunds at that stage are handled case by case.
If we can't complete a delivery for a reason that's on us, you get a full refund.
Your item
Please pack things properly and let us know if something is fragile. We handle items with care, but we transport them in ordinary vehicles, not specialist equipment.
We're not able to accept responsibility for damage caused by inadequate packaging, for items that were already damaged, or for anything on the list above that shouldn't have been sent in the first place. If something goes wrong on a delivery because of us, contact us and we'll make it right — our responsibility is limited to the value of the item, up to what you paid for the delivery, unless the law requires otherwise.
Someone needs to be able to receive the item at the dropoff address, or you need to tell us where to leave it. If we leave it somewhere at your request, it's at your own risk from that point.
Your account
You need an account to request a delivery. Keep your password to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Give us accurate contact details and addresses; deliveries fail when they're wrong, and we can't refund a delivery that went to an address you gave us.
We may suspend an account that's being used to abuse the service, our drivers, or the messaging feature.
Messaging your driver
Once a driver accepts your delivery you can message them directly, and they can message you. Keep it about the delivery, and keep it civil. We can read these messages if we need to resolve a problem.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Divr grows. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and the terms in effect when you requested a delivery are the ones that apply to it.
